What is Copernic Desktop Search and what is it used for?
Copernic Desktop Search is an alternative to Windows Search, which allows you to centralize your searches for documents, files, and emails.
Copernic Desktop Search is designed to find the most relevant information on your PC, including Office files, emails and Outlook attachments, text documents, and media files. As a stand-alone application, you create a keyword map (index) to unlock unstructured data.
The power of Copernic Desktop Search allows you to truly search everywhere, on every drive of your system or network. Search faster as Copernic creates your index on first use and then simply updates it in the background. Copernic Desktop Search is offered on an annual subscription so that our customers always get the latest and newest features as soon as they become available.
Start getting results as soon as you start typing in the search bar. Search results will appear in the preview pane. When you find that file, just double-click on it and the native application will start. The refined panel on the left of the interface allows the user to delve into the files of the computer and retrieve exactly what he is looking for.
Really customize your search functions by adding or removing criteria linked to each search category. Right-click on any file in the preview pane and immediately see the context menu of the file. From there act on your files, documents or emails.
Copernic Desktop Search is fully compatible with Boolean operators like Y, O, NO, NEAR and much more. In addition, the search bar uses a prefix search architecture. Therefore, it finds words that start with a given prefix (keyword).
