Open Science Framework

What is Open Science Framework and what is it used for?

OSF supports the entire research lifecycle: planning, execution, reporting, archiving, and discovery. Provides project management with collaborators and share projects with the public. The OSF is maintained by the non-profit Center for Open Science.

Keep all your files, data, and protocols in one centralized location. No more drag emails to find files or struggling to recover from data loss.

You control which parts of your project are public or private, making it easy to collaborate with the global community or just your team.

OSF is a free and open source service of the Center for Open Science. We are aligning scientific practices with scientific values by improving the openness, integrity and reproducibility of research.

The OSF helps our students understand and apply strong data management principles to their work. And since we have easy access to all the files that students are working with, it greatly enhances our ability to provide constructive guidance.

The OSF makes version control simple. My PI, my lab mates and I have access to previous versions of a file at any time, and the latest version is always available.
